Mailing List

Engage with the Higher Education community on Microsoft related topics by joining the microsoft-hied mailing list. Ask questions, help your peers by sharing your experiance and even post open positions. List members include those with expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server, Security, Azure and more. Chances are someone on the list has the experiance to answer your question!

Some basic rules and suggestions of the mailing list include:

• Don't use this list or the membership of this list to solicit your product. If I see evidence of this, you will be dropped.
• All material sent to this list is considered copyrighted by the author of the email. Don't forward a message from this list without first receiving permission from the author.
• If your subscribed address starts to bounce messages, I'll unsubscribe it after a couple days.
• While there are several Microsoft representatives on the list, you should not expect them to give you PFE level support.
• Keep your messages constructive. Your consideration will ultimately help our community get more responsiveness from MS.
• If you have a specific problem you are looking to solve, you can suggest that others with suggestions contact you directly. Once you find a solution or have what you feel is a quorum of suggestions, you can follow-up with a summary post to the list.

How to Join

To subscribe or unsubscribe to the list, use the web form on the Stanford mailman webpage for the Windows in Higher Education list:

You can only send messages to the list if you are subscribed and sending the message using the exact e-mail address you subscribed with. If your e-mail address changes, use the subscriber options function on the list webpage to change your e-mail address. You'll need your subscriber password to do this, and if you don't have it, you can use the password reminder function to have it e-mailed to you.
