You can only send messages to the list if you are subscribed and sending the message using the exact e-mail address you subscribed with. If your e-mail address changes, use the subscriber options function on the list webpage to change your e-mail address. You'll need your subscriber password to do this, and if you don't have it, you can use the password reminder function to have it e-mailed to you.
